IS THIS #WORKSHOP FOR ME?
Yes, it’s the right online workshop for you if you struggle with #Italian past tenses. Especially if you can’t decide which is the right tense to use, which is the right auxiliary to use, and the #grammar rules you know are more confusing than helping you.
IS THERE A SPECIFIC LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT ?
You should be able to #speak Italian at A1/A2 level. This means that you are able to introduce yourself, ask for information, express basic needs. You also know how to build a simple sentence in Italian, how to match gender and number, and how to conjugate basic (regular and irregular) verbs in the indicative present, past perfect and imperfect tenses (presente, passato prossimo and imperfetto). The official #language of the workshop is #English, it means that all gramar explanations and some of the questions will be in English
WHAT IS INSIDE THE WORKSHOP?
This 2 hours workshop will cover:
- il tempo verbale (time/tense)
- verbi transitivi e intransitivi, cosa sono e perché è utile riconoscerli
- i tempi passati dell’indicativo
- l’imperfetto, cos’è e come si usa
- il passato prossimo, cos’è e come si usa
- il passato remoto, un’introduzione
- come scegliere il tempo verbale giusto in ogni occasione
- come scegliere l’ausiliare nelle forme composte
- riepilogo delle regole
- domande ed esercitazioni
WHICH RESULTS CAN I EXPECT?
This workshop aims at clarifying your doubts about the usage of Italian past tenses. We will break the rules into smaller pieces of information that you will remember more easily.
You will have a clear understanding of the differences between the 3 past tenses and you will know when to use them correctly. This will make your conversations with natives much more natural. There isn’t an exact correspondence between Italian and other languages, so it’s important that you start to think in Italian, without trying to translate the verb tense in your mind before speaking. You are going to gain more confidence so that speaking will no longer be a problem. Even if you make mistakes, you can talk like a native because we too make mistakes with verbs, a lot!
And, hopefully, Italian verbs will no longer scare you!
